Whether you love chicken wings for watching football or just to enjoy a casual night-in, I wanted to share a recipe for a healthier version of wings. This is from my pal, Laura Hamby (see bio below).
Healthy Chicken Wing Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1-2 pounds split chicken wings
- Garlic powder to cover
- Dried Italian herbs to cover
- Salt to cover
Directions:
- Generously season both side of the wings with garlic powder, Italian herbs and salt
- Place seasoned chicken on parchment lined baking sheet
- Broil 10-15 minutes or until golden
- Turn wings and broil the other side until golden about 10 minutes
Eat plain or with your favorite dipping sauce. I love this non-dairy ranch recipe. It’s healthy, delicious, and easy to make.
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 heaping tsp dried Italian herbs
- 3/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp sea or pink salt
Note: As always, try to use as many organic ingredients as possible, especially with the chicken to avoid the antibiotics administered to conventional chickens. For a real treat try pastured chicken. The Whole Foods 365 organic almond milk has the cleanest ingredient list. Also, you can find an array of organic herbs and spices in the bulk section at Whole Foods.
Enjoy!
