Stress Relief Made Easy

In fact, let’s all take a second and take a deep breath and rejoice in the fact that the presents have been opened, the food has been eaten and our family is all happy (and hopefully in their own homes!).

The holidays are stressful, that’s no secret. But want to know my secret for some post holiday stress relief? A good ‘ole fashion bath. Yup, I lock the door, light some candles and play some music and hope my husband and kids don’t need me for an hour.

Here are some of my favorite stress relief items to enjoy in my bath:

Essential Oils – Lavender

doTERRA Lavender Essential Oil | GroovyBeets.com

I’m a huge fan on essential oils (especially the Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade® ones from doTERRA) and lavender is a great smell because it’s calming. And when you add a bit of lavender oil to your bath or shower, it’s perfect for relieving aching muscles.

Magnesium

Another way to calm the muscles is to add magnesium oil to your bath. Magnesium is also great for your body’s neurological system and your cardiovascular health.

Dead Sea Salts

Add some dead sea salt to your next bath to detox from overindulgence. It will also leave your skin feeling cleansed and refreshed.

Bath Pillow

I’ll be the first to admit that laying in a bathtub – no matter how large and luxurious – can get uncomfortable. Make sure you have a great bath pillow; trust me it can make all of the difference.

Candles

Remember those candles I mentioned. I love these candles because they’re made from soy and no paraffin wax. They will also last longer and they smell amazing.

And if all else fails, just grab a glass of your favorite wine!
